Two column layout for Prestashop

A lot of our customers demand for 2 column design. Now I can claim this feature will be included in the upcoming releases.

Eventually I got a new client who needed eshop with two columns only. So I decided to use Theme Maker as a boilerplate (boostrap bare-bones). It seemed as a good opportunity to learn from this project and use the gained experiences for the Maker.

I saved many many hours by using this solution - and it's still responsive! The basic layout was ready in just a few hours. Of course, there was much more work in the details, but anyway - my client could see the first results on the next day!

As you can see - the value of Theme Maker is not just in the "online application". The generated templates are great checkpoints for further modifications.

It worked perfectly for me.

This two column version – it is only for logged in costumers?
When I am trying it – there is no possibility to choose normal two column layout.

i prefer 2-column themes because they focuses the attention to the products instead of other information (which could be presented at the footer part).

couldn’t wait to see it online here.. and i’m sure will buy it :)

btw, how about slider add-on from third-party (eg minic slider)? can i use it with the generated theme and still be responsive?

    Hi Levin,

2-columns layout will be ready very soon – October 27th is the day :)

As for the slider from third-party – basically they should work, however I can’t guarantee their behavoir in responsive design.

The homepage image slider is too narrow and will not widen across the right column. I tried uploading photos with different aspect ratios but they all stay the same width. How can I fix this?
